SIXTH FORM

CO-CURRICULAR

LAUNCHPAD FOR DISCOVERY

Sixth Formers benefit from a rich and varied co-curricular programme with an extended enrichment afternoon each week. We also welcome visiting speakers and organise trips, such as to the Houses of Parliament and London museums.

From September 2024, students will enjoy Friday Afternoon Activities with the Warwick Schools Foundation, offering an even wider range of co-curricular clubs and activities, as well as a chance to network across Sixth Form centres.

SPORT

We recognise that mental and physical fitness go hand in hand. Students can take part in sports including hockey and netball, and have access to our fitness suite, with options such as spin, squash, canoeing and paddle boarding available subject to demand.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD

Our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme is extremely popular, with many Sixth Formers completing the Gold Award. Through expeditions, volunteering, a residential, and the development of physical and other skills, students are encouraged to test their limits. They find their successes hugely rewarding and it is wonderful to see them grow in confidence.

8BILLIONIDEAS

We recently partnered with 8billionideas whose mission is to equip students with the future-focused skills and belief to change the world. This whole school programme, from Prep to Sixth Form, includes special activity events, an enrichment curriculum course, year-group focus days, and community outreach initiatives.

VOLUNTEERING & OUTREACH

During enrichment, students can engage in volunteering activities, supporting local charities and organisations. They visit the Leamington Rehabilitation Hospital to talk to patients on a regular basis, and have enjoyed singing to residents in local care homes.

WORLD CHALLENGE

Those who are brave enough to take the road less travelled can sign up for our annual World Challenge expedition. This is a life-changing opportunity for students to develop their life skills, confidence and independence, with past trips including Vietnam and Cambodia, and Costa Rica.

ROUND SQUARE

Our Round Square membership offers further opportunities for travel; in recent years, Sixth Formers have attended international conferences in Canada, Belfast, India and Kenya.
