We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent ISI inspection, which took place in February 2026.
The inspection confirms that the school meets all required standards across every area. More importantly, it provides a very positive picture of daily life at Kingsley and the experience our pupils have, both in and beyond the classroom.
Consistent and Meaningful Progress
The report recognises the consistently good progress pupils make from their starting points, supported by effective teaching, a well-designed curriculum and regular, purposeful assessment. Inspectors note that pupils are engaged in their learning, develop strong knowledge and skills, and are able to follow ambitious and increasingly personalised pathways as they move through the school.
A Curriculum That Supports Success
There is strong recognition of the breadth and richness of the curriculum. From the topic-based approach in the Prep School to the wide range of subjects and pathways in the Senior School and Sixth Form, pupils benefit from a curriculum that is both stimulating and carefully tailored to their needs. This is further enhanced by trips, co-curricular opportunities and links across the Foundation.
A Culture of Inclusion and Respect
The report speaks very positively about the inclusive nature of the school. Pupils with SEND and those who speak English as an additional language are well supported and make good progress. Inspectors highlight the strong sense of respect within the community, with pupils showing care and understanding towards one another.
Kingsley Kindness Develops Confident and Resilient Individuals
Pastoral care and a focus on wellbeing are clear strengths. Inspectors found that pupils feel safe, supported and valued, and that there is a strong culture of kindness underpinning relationships across the school. The personal development programme, including PSHE and wider wellbeing initiatives, helps pupils to grow in confidence, resilience and self-awareness.
Pupil Voice and Future Readiness
The report highlights the importance of pupil voice, noting that pupils are listened to and play an active role in shaping aspects of school life. Alongside this, the school’s careers and future-focused learning programme ensures that pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.
Leadership That Puts Pupils First
Finally, the report recognises the thoughtful and reflective approach of the school’s leadership, with decisions carefully considered and firmly focused on securing the best possible outcomes for pupils.
Dr Sarah Howling, Headteacher, said:
“We are very pleased that the report reflects the strength of the education and care we provide at Kingsley. It captures what matters most to us: that our pupils feel supported, make good progress and develop into confident, thoughtful young people. I am grateful to our staff for their dedication, and to our families for their continued support.”
