The curriculum at Kingsley is structured to maximise progress and prepare students for the future, building on their prior learning to encourage creativity, intellectual curiosity, and independence. Students make excellent academic progress throughout the Senior School, with the vast majority achieving impressive results that equip them with the knowledge and skills needed for post-16 studies.
Kingsley offers a wide and varied curriculum designed to inspire students to challenge themselves across disciplines, including science, technology, creative arts, humanities, performing arts, and modern foreign languages. Alongside academic subjects, the extended curriculum incorporates Discovery and Future-focused Education. This includes lessons in leadership, teamwork, creativity, Artificial Intelligence, entrepreneurship, and outdoor education, which are essential for a successful and future-ready curriculum. Membership in the Round Square network enhances these elements through collaborations with schools worldwide in virtual and in-person projects.
The curriculum also features a diverse programme in PE and games, with all students participating in a games afternoon, a core PE lesson, and a range of co-curricular activities. At GCSE, students study core subjects like English, mathematics, and the three separate sciences, alongside a broad selection of GCSE and vocational qualifications.
The Kingsley curriculum is academically challenging, fosters creativity and independence, and ensures students are well-rounded, well-qualified, and prepared for their future endeavours.
