The Sixth Form at Kingsley combines the desire for academic success with the creation of confident, self-motivated and independent young women. The School provides a wide range of opportunities for all students, whatever their interests, aptitudes and abilities. The School aims to offer a high-quality education which is appropriate to the needs of the individual and which provides a breadth of educational opportunities and experiences through academic, vocational and extra-curricular activities.
Above all the Sixth Form at Kingsley encourages girls to develop a positive attitude and have high expectations. It offers an opportunity to study successfully in a well-disciplined, yet caring and happy environment where the overriding aim is to help all students to make the best use of their abilities and to strive to realise their full potential.
Entrance to the Sixth Form is conditional on GCSE results.
We would normally expect a minimum of five GCSEs at A* – C with a B in those subjects to be studied. A satisfactory reference from Kingsley’s Head of Year 11 or, if the student is from another school, from a senior member of staff, is also required.
Students are invited for formal interviews with the Headteacher and the Head of Sixth Form and will need to provide evidence of their GCSE results.
