4D Creative Curriculum

About

The Kingsley Prep 4D Curriculum is an innovative and bespoke approach to teaching and learning, designed to support children’s natural curiosity and stimulate their creativity.

It offers children the opportunity to work on a given theme in depth, with time to reflect, consolidate and transfer their learning across all subject areas. Regular opportunities to revisit previous learning provide another dimension to the learning process. Children see their work as being connected, relevant and purposeful. Our unique 4D Curriculum is skills-based and knowledge supported, ensuring that learning is aspirational and successful. The 4D curriculum includes Humanities, Creative Arts, and scientific elements.

There is also a clear focus on future-readiness, with children being encouraged to explore themes such as entrepreneurship, sustainability, diversity and internationalism. The school is a member of Round Square and benefits from a partnership with 8billionideas. These relationships provide the children with many opportunities to develop these concepts further.

All learning is further developed through the use of the outdoor classroom and Forest School site located at the Kingsley playing fields, where opportunities for developing their understanding of the world around them are linked with opportunities for learning outside the confines of a classroom.
