Sixth Formers at The Kingsley School are celebrating excellent results. Each of our students should be proud of their academic achievements which are testament to their consistent hard work, commitment and enthusiasm for learning.
Headteacher, Mr James Mercer-Kelly, commented, “This year’s cohort of Sixth Formers at The Kingsley School have once again excelled in their public examinations and I am very proud of them all. They have achieved outstanding results across a broad range of subjects and those going on to higher education institutions this autumn have all successfully secured their places, with the majority heading to their first-choice university.
These students have benefitted from the dedication of their teachers, who are a key part of Kingsley’s success story. We take pride in developing the whole person and enabling our students to gain not only academic success, but also the invaluable skills they need to thrive in their future lives. We are confident they will take these attributes forward and use them to be successful in their future endeavours.”
Director of Sixth Form, Dawn Morgan, commented, “We have had many occasions to be incredibly proud of this talented group of Sixth Form students and today they have achieved wonderful results. They have triumphed by aiming high and working diligently on their studies. These results are testament both to the fabulous learning environment at Kingsley and to the dedication of these promising students”.
Amongst this year’s cohort there were some notable individual successes. Kelly T achieved A* A* A and can now look forward to an exciting year of travel before pursuing a course in either medicine or pharmacy. Abi L successfully achieved A* A* A and will read law at the University of Exeter. Georgina B, who will study Digital Film Production at Birmingham City University, achieved A A Distinction*. Saarah H achieved A* A A and Amy B and Sasha G achieved A* A B with places secured at the Universities of Warwick, Cardiff and Bath respectively.
Students have also had resounding success in Cambridge Technical qualifications, with 100% of those studying the courses in both Sport and Digital Media achieving the highest possible grade of Distinction*. Charlotte Green, who gained qualifications in Textiles, Food and Nutrition and Health and Social Care, has chosen to proceed with gap year plans before pursuing a possible career in teaching.
Warwick Schools Foundation Principal, Mr Richard Nicholson stated, “I am immensely proud of the achievements of all of our Foundation pupils today. Having missed out on sitting their GCSEs in the usual way, this cohort has shown determination and resilience and can now reflect on their exceptional achievements. They have an impressive launching pad for their future endeavours, and to make the most of all the opportunities beyond our schools. However, they could not have done this without expert staff and the support of their families. It is truly a whole community celebration.”
