New Headteacher at The Kingsley School – Dr Sarah Howling

The Kingsley School is pleased to announce that we have appointed a new Headteacher.

Dr Howling is joining The Kingsley School from January 2024. As an experienced and distinguished school leader, her educational philosophy is perfectly attuned to Kingsley.

Beginning her teaching career in Coventry as a modern linguist, Dr Howling has most recently worked at outstanding international schools overseas, as Head of St Andrew’s Scots School, Buenos Aires and latterly Principal at The Alice Smith Schools Association, Kuala Lumpur. Since 2020 she has been a highly effective coach and consultant, working with schools and school leaders to improve both practice and outcomes. In all these roles, she has extensive experience in developing and growing schools, and overseeing significant periods of change and innovation. We have secured Dr Howling initially for two years, leading the Kingsley community at this exciting time in its history.

Foundation Principal, Richard Nicolson commented:

I am delighted that we have appointed a new Headteacher, Dr Sarah Howling. I’m really looking forward to the next phase of the school’s journey and its continuing flourishing, under the assured and inspiring leadership of Dr Howling.

I would also like to pay tribute to everyone in the Kingsley community for their goodwill and support over recent months, and to the senior leadership of the school and all staff for their skill and expertise. Finally, I would like to say what a joy it has been to work more directly with over the past few months.
