The Kingsley Riding Squad has enjoyed an exceptional run of results this term, with riders achieving national qualifications, championship placings and impressive personal milestones across a wide range of equestrian disciplines.
In September, Lucy enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Cotswold Cup Championship Final with her pony Pudding. The pair were crowned 70cm champions at The Croft School Eventer Challenge and have continued to secure strong results representing The Hathaway Pony Club Centre. October saw Lucy compete at the Bloxham Eventer Challenge, earning 2nd and 5th individually and helping her team to 1st place. She also finished 5th at the NSEA Arena Eventing at Eland Lodge. Lucy is immensely proud to ride for Kingsley and is looking forward to more adventures with her ponies and team mates.
In October, Francesca travelled with her two ponies to the NSEA Championships, competing across multiple showjumping and jumping-with-style classes. She was also selected to represent Wales in the Nationals Cup 1m class, where the Welsh team finished fifth. Her pony Hoofprint Caleb took first place in the 105cm showjumping, while Minnie the Minx achieved second place in their very first 1m20 class. Alongside her NSEA results, Francesca continues to compete in Pony Club and British Showjumping. She and Hoofprint Caleb won their qualifier for the JCB Championships in August, going on to deliver three clear rounds and finish third at the championships. Francesca is now working hard to gain her final clears to qualify for the British Showjumping Nationals 2026.
Daisy and Rupert qualified for the British Equestrian Vaulting Championships, finishing an impressive fourth out of the UK’s top fifteen vaulters. Alongside her vaulting success, Daisy and Cleo represented Kingsley with two excellent clear rounds. Daisy also enjoyed a fantastic result with Saffy at the British Dressage Quest National Championships Final, where their team placed 10th out of 24 in the under-21 section. In addition, Daisy and Cleo represented West Warwickshire Pony Club in arena eventing, helping their team to first place and securing an individual third, qualifying them for the National Championships next spring.
Abi and her pony Boy have focused this year on qualifying for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). After competing at events across the country throughout the season, they secured their place by winning the JCB National Pony Club Championship in August. Abi and her team enjoyed a fantastic week at HOYS in October, riding in the main ring twice a day in front of over 65,000 people and meeting many of their showjumping heroes in person. With the games season now over, Abi is excited to return to competing for the school in winter showjumping and dressage while Boy takes a well-earned break. Alongside this, she is developing a promising new partnership with her talented jumping pony, Arla. The pair represented the school at Hartpury College in September, delivering a lovely double clear on their very first outing together, and Abi is looking forward to future events with great enthusiasm.
Martha has formed a promising new partnership with her horse Polly. The pair have already ventured out to several NSEA competitions, including a brilliant 3rd place at Beaver Hall, which qualified them for the NSEA Championships. They enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Addington representing the school. Although they did not place this time, their progress is clear and they are continuing to train with great optimism.
After joining Kingsley in September, Olivia had an unexpected pony change, but she and Tom are quickly developing a strong bond. They have already contributed to two team wins in the 65cm classes of the Bloxham Eventer Challenge winter series.
Following six months of rehabilitation earlier in the year, Ruby and Kermit are returning to form with growing confidence. Their hard work has paid off, playing a key role in securing two team firsts in the Bloxham Eventer Challenge winter series.
Amelia has had a remarkable season with her horse Shadow, competing at national Pony Shows and only narrowly missing qualification for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show Foxhunter class. Consistently placing within the top eight has earned them a place at the British Nationals this year. Amelia has produced her second horse, Willow, from the start. Now five years old, Willow is already making her mark, recently securing two sixth-place finishes at Onley against strong senior competition, delivering superb clear rounds.
And finally, the squad is delighted to welcome Georgia and Alfie Morley, who are already settling in brilliantly!
