At The Kingsley School and across the Foundation, we understand that everything we have today is thanks to the generations that have gone before – we are already standing on the shoulders of giants. Contributions from alumni, parents, charitable trusts and other donors have provided state-of-the art science, music and sports facilities and established a £15m endowment fund. Today the fund provides financial assistance to one in five students across our five schools, including 130 means-tested bursaries.
At the crux of everything we do is a desire to widen access to outstanding education for the brightest children from any background; those who have demonstrated an ability to make the most of a Foundation education, not just those with an ability to pay the fees. On our current school roll, we are proud to include looked after children from the care system, refugees and those facing multiple measures of disadvantage alongside others from more traditional backgrounds. We aim to enable every individual within our diverse community to fulfil their full potential, and are proud to offer a high quality education with outstanding facilities.
Philanthropy is embedded in our history, and without this we wouldn’t be where we are today. We are incredibly grateful to those who choose to support the school, who play a part in the present and future of the school, helping so many students to thrive and follow their dreams.
